Looking for a fun way to either stay active while you are pregnant or get back into shape after that baby? Whether you’re six weeks pregnant or six years postpartum, we welcome all! We strive to provide you a flexible opportunity to start exercising again while bonding with other moms – all with babysitting available just a few feet from the studio. And be sure to check out our Babywearing classes, Stroller classes and our Postnatal Fitness class, which all give you the opportunity to work out with your baby!
Our Babywearing Fitness Class is the perfect way for moms to get back to strength while bonding with their baby. We do fun exercises with baby in the carrier but also on the mat with baby involved in the exercises. Moms must be a minimum of six weeks postpartum and have clearance from their provider. In the case of a c-section, it is highly recommended to wait 10-12 weeks until starting a babywearing class. Baby needs at least a little bit of neck stability.
Babywearers: This class requires a structured carrier that is safe and secure. If you don’t have a structured carrier, please see the front desk to use one of our loaners. Comfortable workout clothing and sneakers are recommended.
Babies: Light layers of clothing are best, as it often gets warm in the carrier!
Our Babywearing Barre Class is the perfect way for moms to strengthen and tone their bodies while bonding with their baby. We do fun ballet-inspired exercises at the barre with baby in the carrier, as well as Pilates-inspired exercises on the mat and ball – with a little help from baby, of course! Moms must be a minimum of six weeks postpartum and have clearance from their provider. In the case of a c-section, it is highly recommended to wait 10-12 weeks until starting a babywearing class.

A 45-minute class that focuses on strengthening your entire core! We combine high-intensity cardio with a variety of mat exercises such as planks, hovers, mountain climbers, and much more to achieve lean and strong muscles. This class is intended for postpartum moms who feel strong enough to engage their core but, as always, options will be given to keep the exercises safe and effective for all levels.
Inspired by dance, this is a great combination of mat and barre exercises to strengthen the core and build long lean muscles. The class will be a fusion of classical ballet, pilates and yoga with a fitness twist. Balanced with some deep stretching you are sure to leave feeling restored through both your mind and body. Open to both prenatal and postnatal moms, all levels of fitness, and no dance experience needed!
Barre with an extra level of intensity! The first half of class incorporates high intensity interval training, so bring sneakers. The second half of class is a modified barre class. Open to both prenatal and postnatal moms, all levels of fitness, and no dance experience needed!
A calorie-burning, interval class combining high intensity cardio with strength training. This class will use free weights, resistance bands, and the ball to get you sweating and toned. Open to both prenatal and postnatal moms and all levels of fitness. Please bring clean, indoor sneakers.
Inspired by a variety of dance styles, this upbeat class will spark the inner dancer in all! Have fun while you move, sweat, and condition the entire body during this calorie burning class! Experience total fitness through this mix of dance, pilates and barre designed to build long lean muscles while strengthening the core. Complete with deep and assisted stretches you will leave feeling refreshed with the aliveness to take on the day! This class is open to both prenatal and postnatal moms.
A fun combination of cardio as well as strengthening exercises using a variety of light weights, barre, ball, and resistance bands. This class will leave you energized and toned. Open to both prenatal and postnatal moms and all levels of fitness. Please bring clean, indoor sneakers.
FLOW & RESTORE
A combination of vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga, this class balances the physical element of yoga with meditation. Allow the fluidity of breath to lead you through a flow, building strength and warmth throughout. The blend of yin and restorative poses are low to the mat, held longer and target the connective tissues such as ligaments and joints. Some benefits are regaining range of motion, detoxification and strengthening the bones. This class includes gentle hands-on assists, Reiki, and time to decompress from the business of life, allowing you to float away after class. All levels welcome. A blend of dance, traditional fitness and functional training wrapped into a fun, high energy class, all on the mat! The class offers high and low intensity options and ends with a nice deep stretch. You will awaken your body, release endorphins, find your strength, and most importantly, have fun! Open to both prenatal and postnatal moms and all levels of fitness. Please bring a pair of clean, indoor sneakers.
MOMMY & ME INFANT YOGA
This class is designed for moms with babies six weeks through nine months. Inspired by yoga flow, this class incorporates movement and breath designed to increase flexibility, regain strength, and encourage overall physical and mental balance during the postnatal period. Postures target both mom and baby, individually and together. We provide a flexible class structure for the feeding and comfort of both you and your baby. Jade yoga mats are provided, free of charge.
Prenatal yoga offers women of every fitness level a safe way to exercise that can be enjoyed throughout a healthy pregnancy. We explore simple movements, breath awareness, and guided imagery that focus on mother/baby bonding to help mothers gain self awareness and trust in their bodies. Jade yoga mats are provided, free of charge.
Offered throughout the spring, summer, and fall. An outdoor class designed to torch calories with your baby in tow! Be prepared to sweat with this mix of high intensity cardio drills and strength training exercises – all while your baby is enjoying fresh air in the stroller. We will use cardio, agility training, weights, resistance bands, and even the stroller to melt fat and build muscle. This class is held weather permitting. Cancellation due to weather will be posted on our Facebook page.
STROLLER FITNESS/POSTNATAL FITNESS
Starting in the spring and continuing through the summer and fall, we will take advantage of the nice weather with a Stroller Fitness class! Weather permitting, meet outside AMHW with your baby in the stroller for a fast-paced walk through beautiful North Andover. Lunges, squats and arm training will accompany this workout in the library park! Bad weather? No problem, we will meet inside the studio for a workout, which will include your baby.
Tabata is a high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class that will be sure to give you a killer workout. This class will take you through rounds of cardio and strength-training intervals to rev your metabolism and tone your body.
All moves can be modified and taken at your own pace so come whether you are pregnant, just had a baby or are trying lose the last few pounds of that baby weight. Check out why Tabata will become your new, favorite class!
Yoga sculpt is a total body workout set to motivating music to get your body moving! Light weights are added to a vinyasa sequence to intensify each yoga pose. You will boost your metabolism with cardio bursts and build lean muscle mass with strength training exercises such as squats, lunges, and bicep curls. Come to class ready to sweat! Open to both prenatal and postnatal moms and all levels of fitness.
